This week's question for The Rink Live beat reporters is: Who has been a player who has made significant contributions to the team you cover that have gone under the radar?
Those reporters are Mick Hatten, Jess Myers, Austin Monteith, Brad Schlossman and Matt Wellens. Hatten covers St. Cloud State, Myers covers the University of Minnesota, Monteith covers Bemidji State, Schlossman covers the University of North Dakota and Wellens covers Minnesota Duluth.

Answers:
Hatten: Brendan Bushy has logged a lot of minutes as a top four defenseman for SCSU. He has shown improvement, played more aggressively and been a steady player all season.
Wellens: Junior defenseman Hunter Lellig has been a solid, solid defensive presence for the Bulldogs this season. Coming back from a season-ending knee injury in 2019-20, he's probably been the Bulldogs most consistent blue liner.
Monteith: Tyler Kirkup has proven his strength as a two-way center for Bemidji State. The junior is as likely to be found blocking a shot as he is making a play in the offensive zone.
Schlossman: I have a feeling defenseman Ethan Frisch will be the answer to this question for a while. He's not flashy, but he's been consistently good, going back to last season.
Myers: One luxury Bob Motzko has had throughout the Gophers’ 11-1 start has been the ability to roll four lines. On the team’s fourth line, senior Cullen Munson has been a constant source of hustle on the left wing.
