Tickets are available at City Looks, Jenny's Hallmark, Fine Line Hair Design or by calling Kathy Buxton at 829-6205, Carin Bedard at 829-9529 or Phyllis Struthers at 330-7929.
In a 2008 story, Buxton said, "Women can't get ahead in this world without an education. Education opens doors. I was the first woman in my family to get a degree."
And the tea party allows people to come together in support of scholarships for women - through a fun event.
"It's a chance to dress up and explore the art of tea," Buxton said. "And the art of tea is not about the tea. It's about sharing good times with friends. Today people are always in such a hurry and women need to take time for themselves."
