The Pequot Lakes School Board selected seven candidates for its first round of interviews during a special meeting Tuesday, March 5.

In all, 25 candidates submitted resumes as of March 5. The board has extended its job posting, though, to March 18. The job qualifications on the listing were changed from requesting two years’ superintendent experience to instead list that superintendent experience is preferred.

The board plans to hold its first round of interviews on March 14 at 12:15 p.m. Because all seven board members will interview the candidates, those meetings are open to the public. A second round of interviews may take place on a yet to be determined date.

The board is open to feedback on the superintendent search through an online survey for the public. A link to that survey can be found at . The board also welcomed comment through email or phone call.

Tentatively, the board plans to hold a public meeting on the evening of April 8 for the final round of interviews with finalists, with a meet and greet for the public immediately before the interviews.
