WILLISTON, N.D. — A motorcyclist died Sunday, June 13, in a crash a quarter-mile east of Williston.
The 2018 Harley-Davidson was traveling east on 57th Street Northwest near the junction of 135th Avenue Northwest around 5:30 p.m. just outside the city limits of Williston when the motorcyclist failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway. The 29-year-old Williston man, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike as it entered the south ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Road conditions were good and the weather was clear at the time of the accident.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol, which did not identify the victim Sunday pending family notification.
