FARGO — The names of the two people killed in a collision between a semi and minivan in rural Cass County Friday, Oct. 16, were released by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Jeannette Arnold, 76, the driver of the minivan, and 75-year-old Dennis Marthe were pronounced dead at the scene. The crash was reported at 10 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 20 and County Road 17, according to the patrol. The intersection is about 3 miles west of Fargo's Hector International Airport.

Rita Wentz was flown to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo with serious injuries. The 80-year-old was the third passenger in the minivan.

The minivan carrying three passengers, all from Rugby, was traveling west on County Road 20 and a semi was heading north on County Road 17 when the minivan failed to stop at the intersection and hit the side of the semi's trailer, the patrol said.
