HAWLEY, Minn. — One person was injured Monday evening, Aug. 10, in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 10 in Hawley, Minn.

Connie Lee Dewald, 73, of Hawley, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Sanford Health, according to the State Patrol.

She was driving a 2006 Volkswagen Beetle eastbound on Highway 10, slowing for a traffic signal, and was struck from behind by a 2017 Chevy Volt driven by Donald Victor Tollefson, 51, of Audubon, who was not injured, according to the State Patrol.

The Volkswagen was propelled into a 2019 Ford Fusion driven by Madison Leigh Rost, 22, of Sioux Falls, S.D., that was also stopped for the traffic signal. Rost was not injured, according to the State Patrol. All vehicles came to rest in the lane of traffic at the light.

All three drivers were wearing seatbelts. Airbags deployed in the Volt but not the other two vehicles.
