DEVILS LAKE, N.D. — A Devils Lake man who was driving a tractor on U.S. Highway 2 was killed after being rear ended by a semi.
Shortly before 4 p.m. on Friday, April 10, Eric Beaver, 44, of Devils Lake, drove his semi into the back of a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 8 miles east of Leeds, N.D. Beaver forced the Silverado, a 1974 Allis-Chalmers tractor and his semi off the road.
The driver of the Silverado, Bradford Webster, 66, of Devils Lake, was airlifted to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks with serious injuries. The driver of the tractor, whose name will be released pending notification of his family, was airlifted to CHI Saint Alexius Hospital in Devils Lake, where he died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Beaver was uninjured in the crash. The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
