The Jamestown Icehawks Squirt White hockey team placed fourth at the Jamestown Goodroad 16-team tournament last weekend.

The Icehawks opened the weekend with two wins, beating May-Port 7-5 and Hazen-Beulah 9-5. Austin Rene had four goals in both games to lead the way. Jared Schultz tallied five goals, including one hat trick. Kelton Breedy, Alex Schauer and Ben Harris also scored for Jamestown.

Alex Schauer stopped 27 saves in the win over May-Port, while Nate Soulis had 15 saves against Hazen-Beulah.

Regina (Sask.) topped the Icehawks 6-3 in the semifinal round. Rene put up two more goals, while Harris got the other. Schauer turned away 37 shots.

Rene capped off an 11-goal weekend by getting the lone Icehawks' tally in their 4-1 loss to Jamestown Black. Conner Grosgebauer assisted on the play. Soulis had 21 saves.
