Man who fled after fatal shooting at Sioux Falls barbeque is found
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- A 24-year-old Sioux Falls man accused of shooting two men at a large barbeque event ate Sunday night during an argument near Falls Park close to downtown Sioux Fallshas been found.
Witnesses at the barbeque said they saw Abraham Darsaw pull out a pistol and fire it, hitting two men.
The two were taken by family members to a local hospital where a 25-year-old man died and the other man, who is 22, is listed in stable condition.
Police said late Monday night, about 24 hours after the shooting, that they took Darsaw into custody without incident. He is charged in the arrest warrant with second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, aggravated assault and grand theft.
The two victims weren’t identified on Monday, pending notification of family members.
The fight took place about 10 p.m. near a shelterhouse by the park where the city’s Farmer’s Market is held.
Darsaw is being held on a $1 million cash bond.
